You hit the nail on the head. Its like the enviros not liking burning oil so they stop pipelines and drilling (rather than advancing clean energy innovation).

As Adam Mastroianni argued in Sunday’s NYT, “The battle over where A.I. data centers are being built is really a battle over what role A.I. should play in our lives.” Clearly, fear of and antipathy toward A.I. is a driving force. The naysayers are trying to choke this remarkable, fast-evolving capability in its crib. Like you, I unabashedly concede that my A.I. assistants have become the most important non-persons in my life. (Check AEI’s Danial Lyon’s piece today debunking as “overblown” – dare I say demonstrably and dramatically overblown -- the concerns over data center water consumption.)

Refreshing with some common sense for a change. Thanks for the article!

Not sure if you were saying that the refreshing common sense was compared to my prior blogs or to the narrative in general :) I will assume the latter. Thanks

Too bad truth in advertising doesn't apply to non profits lying in political discussions. They then use their successes built on lies to troll for more funding.

Yeah, you got that right. That is the dirty little secret of these advocacy groups, especially on the left. If you compromise and are reasonable, why will the masses give you money

Look into mirror. What's ITIF?

The top ranked science and tech think tank in the world. Thanks for asking

How does "The top ranked science and tech think tank in the world" devote most of its press releases complaining about some foreign regulation on US Big Tech? Is it "research" or lobbying with ITIF taking massive amounts of money from those same Big Tech companies? Which else research institution does so? Or is ITIF just tech industry's lobbying pressure group? Lol complains about advocacy groups on left and taking money from public meanwhile ITIF being nothing different from those lobbying groups with taking money from big CCP-sucking corporations than even from public.
